Great question, and where to start? Each one of our lovely vacation rentals have been decorated with the individual owners’ taste in mind. You might see one that fits your vibe more, and it’s much more than a box with four walls. Nothing against hotels by any means, but for the overall experience of personalized attention (we are on-call 24/7), a plethora of amenities (river access, pools, hot-tubs, etc), a full kitchen to cook family meals in, the comfort of your own home, the privacy, and variety of entertainment options should give you enough reasons to choose a vacation rental! When you start to break down the price per person, it’s generally more feasible to rent a vacation rental so the whole family can stay together.
Whenever you are ready to book, select the property you want to make your next getaway, and click Book Now! Follow the steps with your dates, guest count, and any special accommodations or add-ons. Our site will charge you only the $500 deposit. The deposit is completely refundable to you, 3-5 days following your departure date. The rental payment is not due until 15 days prior to your arrival date.
We accept all major credit cards - Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. If given advance notice, we can accept a check for the rental payment.
Checking in is a breeze! About 15 days prior to your arrival, after the rental payment has been paid and policies have been signed, we will send over all of your check-in details. This will include the address, unit number (if applicable), and key code you’ll need to access the unit. Anytime following the 4pm check-in on your day of arrival, you’ll go straight to the unit and use the key code to gain access. If your property requires parking tags and/or property wristbands, those will be on top of your visitors guide upon arrival (generally in the kitchen).
Checking out is pretty simple, by 11 am we ask that you do the following;
Leave linens on beds: Simple as that!
Start dishwasher: Please start the dishwasher so that we can be ready for the next guest.
Remove trash: Take out the trash to the outside dumpster and/or bin if provided.
Lock Up: If your property is equipped with a smart lock, simply close the door and press the lock button (some require the knob to turn). If you used a lockbox to access your key, lock up and return all keys to the lockbox, close, and turn the dial to scramble the code.
If a unit is left excessively dirty or the procedures are not completed, you may be charged additionally.

We can not, due to the high influx of inquiries, we can only secure a reservation with a deposit. This can be in the span of ten minutes or ten days after quoting it’s available, as popular weekends book up quick!
Yes, for our short-term stays, you will receive a DocuSign with the property policies 15 days prior to your arrival, in which you can electronically initial, sign, and include the first and last names of everyone in your group.
For our long-term stays, you will receive a property policy document to sign, as well as a rental agreement on DocuSign.
At My New Braunfels Vacation, we like to be completely transparent on our rates and fees!
For each property, there is a nightly rate, cleaning fee, and hotel occupancy taxes (range from 10%-17% depending on the area) for the rental payment.
We do not charge any booking or credit card processing fees to the guest, that’s all covered by us. The refundable deposit locks in your stay, and the rental payment is due 15 days prior.
No hidden or unexpected costs – the rates you see are the rates you’ll get.
If you cancel and we are 60 days prior to arrival, $75 cancellation fee.
If you cancel and we are 16-59 days prior to arrival, loss of 25% of reservation total.
If you cancel and we are 7-15 days prior to arrival, loss of 50% of reservation total.
If you cancel and we are 0-6 days prior to arrival, loss of reservation total.
However, if within any of these circumstances, we are able to rebook the full stay, we will refund the remaining amount (less $75 fee)
We recommend for guests to bring any food, beach towels, and toiletries they may need!
We stock the units with all of the linens (sheets, blankets or comforters, and pillows) for each bed, futon and/or sleeper sofa. We also provide enough bath towels for the max occupancy, and half occupancy for hand towels and wash cloths. The kitchen is stocked with all major appliances, and all basic utensils- dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans. We provide a “starter kit” of items including two paper towel rolls, two toilet paper rolls per restroom, five trash bags, five dishwasher tablets (if applicable), five washing machine pods (if applicable), two make-up wipes per restroom, and a welcome basket with two individually packaged coffee grounds, creamer, sugar, and popcorn!

The properties that do not have a strong Wi-Fi connection are our River Road properties, which we include in the listing that the connection is very limited and not guaranteed. We have had every internet company under the sun that services New Braunfels, in that area, and there are certain locations that the signal is impossible to obtain. Cell reception can be spotty in those areas too.
Wi-Fi is not working? Can’t turn the TV on? Lost your pants? That’s exactly why we are here (well… we can’t help you with the last one unless you use our Lost and Found Form)!
If you have ANY issues while at any of our properties, please contact us immediately! We would rather address and fix the issue, than hear about it in a review later. We are on call 24/7 (some summers we just go weeks without sleeping), and the best and fastest response is to call our 24-hour answering service at 541-265-1983.
Whoops! Contact us immediately at 541-265-1983 in the situation of a lock-out. If it is during a weekend or after-hours, you may incur an additional fee for rekeying the property.
Not a problem at all, since you’ll have all of the check-in information including the key code, you can check-in anytime following 4pm.
We’d love to accommodate any and all schedules. However, we can’t approve these until we get closer to your arrival. If we do not have a check-out the day of your arrival, or a check-in the day of your departure, we can certainly coordinate an early check-in or late check-out with cleaning, at a rate of $25/hr. Please contact us in advance so we may schedule accordingly if applicable!
Due to liability purposes, we have an in-house certified cleaning company, that is required to clean the property following each stay. We ask you to complete the check-out procedure steps, but our cleaning company can handle the rest!
Unfortunately, no you can not. Our maximum occupancy standards are set per building codes, fire ordinances, and in cases regarding condominiums, the property bylaws.
With many of our condominiums, the max occupancy is set for uses of amenities too. For this reason and more, guests (even if they are day guests) exceeding the maximum occupancy is not permitted.
All of our condominiums have a two-vehicle maximum. Our houses can range in parking policies, please contact us directly with the property in mind and we can further detail the parking situation.
We require the majority of the renters to be 23 years of age or older, unless a parent is present during the entirety of the stay. For select properties, the age requirement is higher, and will be noted on the listing page.
We do have many properties that are pet-friendly. Ensure to request a pet-friendly unit if you are planning to bring your furry friend(s) with you. Pets are considered dogs only, no puppies or aggressive breeds. Some pet-friendly properties may allow small dogs only. The Pet fee is $50 pet fee per pet. Unfortunately, we can not allow any cats at our properties.
Not to worry, we understand things get lost! Shoot us an email or fill out our Lost and Found Form with what you lost, and where you think you lost it.
We will do our best to locate the item, and if we have, send it in the mail as quickly as we can. Lost and Found items can incur a $25 fee plus shipping.
Thanks for checking! Due to building codes, we have only one property we are able to host events at- Tiki on the Guad. If you are looking to host a family reunion, a corporate retreat, or even a wedding, you can certainly rent out Tiki on the Guad in it’s entirety for your event. If we are more than sixty days prior to your arrival date, you may certainly reschedule!
As we get closer however, we can not reschedule stays. Refunds are not provided for early departures or due to inclement weather that results in recreational facilities (Comal River, Guadalupe River, Schlitterbahn, etc) being unavailable for use.

We’d love to offer all the discounts if we could, but since all of our properties are individually owned, we unfortunately can not during the weekends on the summer months.
